Business summary for our first sustainability report
As Consus Enerji, sustainable growth is at the center of our focus, and we continuously evaluate
opportunities and take necessary actions to improve our Company’s sustainability profile. In our
journey with our valuable stakeholders, we aim to reinforce environmental, economic, social, and
corporate governance awareness both within our organization as well as of our stakeholders in all of
our business lines. We maintain ethical and responsible behaviour towards all stakeholders, and we
expect and encourage not only our committee but also every individual serving within our
organization to take responsibility in the realization of our sustainability activities, policies, and
targets. At Consus Enerji, we support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) announced by the
United Nations, prioritizing a cleaner and more liveable planet and the right of all humans to live in
peace and prosperity, throughout our investments in clean energy and social programs we carry out.
We are committed to Responsible Clean Energy Access, our carbon neutrality goal, and the fight
against climate change, with the ultimate target of ensuring that everyone has access to affordable,
dependable, sustainable, and modern energy through clean and renewable energy resources. In an
effort to improve our knowledge and capacity to combat climate change, we follow a method of
influencing investors and society by drawing attention to the benefits of these activities in
accordance with the principles of climate action. Through our biomass business line’s eco-friendly
production approach, we plan to create a sustainable and efficient energy generation environment
by integrating agricultural sector with modern bioenergy technologies. Within our Company, we
intensify our biomass collection activities in the surrounding provinces where the power plants are
located, especially in Aydın, Şanlıurfa and Mardin, and we produce and supply our biomass products
through long-term agreements with farmers, public institutions, and solution partners in these
regions. Within the scope of our biomass activities, we have converted 182,416 tons (2021) and
224,712 tons (2022) of residues, collected from agricultural and forest lands in Aydın, Mardin,
Şanlıurfa and surrounding areas into energy.
As a company that combines sustainable growth with corporate consciousness, we are aware that
energy management is the focal point of a sustainable future. We know that the utilization of
sustainable energy resources and energy efficiency measures are of financial importance for
businesses and institutions beyond reducing environmental impacts, and we attach utmost
importance to the proper use of energy while conducting our activities. Thus, we produce
environmentally friendly solutions by combining sustainable energy resources with advanced
technologies.
Due to our multifaceted activities in the sector, we are aware that we need to demonstrate a strong
economic performance in order to sustain the services we provide in energy generation and energy
efficiency. In this way, we achieved, to a large extent, our 2022 target of improving financial
performance data through sales and savings. Continuing our efforts with this goal in mind, we
completed 2022 with successful results. Supported by increases in installed capacity in the recent
years, our revenue growth continued to gain momentum in 2022, and our Company’s revenues
increased by 51 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 559,873,121 TL. Similarly,
Net profit after financial income and tax was realized as 46,979,795 TL with an increase of 42 percent
compared to the previous year. In the relevant fiscal period, income and financial return from
investment activities in particular also accelerated. In 2022, the initial public offering size of Consus
Enerji, following which Company shares started to trade on Borsa Istanbul, was recorded as 519.8
million TL, making our Company more prominent in terms of corporate governance practices and
relevant stakeholders. At this point, ensuring the continuity of profitability reinforces
thesustainability of the organization. Going forward, we will set, continuously review, and focus on
achieving our sustainability goals; that we will disseminate our sustainability policy among all our
employees; that we will comply with the applicable legal requirements regarding environmental,
social, economic, and governance aspects and our commitments to our customers; and that we will
work effectively for continuous improvement in the field of sustainability.
